Manheim fee calculator
Manheim buyer fees depend on the sale price and your account — public auctions use a sliding scale from $150 to $350, then 4.5% above $9,000 capped at $450. Confirm with your local facility before you bid.
Manheim's fees, and the date we last looked
Fees move. When they do, this table changes and the change gets logged — that's the whole maintenance promise, and it's why the number above is worth more than a two-year-old blog post.
| Fee | Rate | Charged on | Changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buyer fee (under $9k) | $150–$350 | Sliding scale by sale price — public auction sample | Varies by location |
| Buyer fee ($9k+) | 4.5% (max $450) | Sale price at or above $9,000 | Public auction sample |
| Dealer account fees | Varies | Licensed dealers — tiered by volume, not modeled here | Account-specific |
| Public premium | Varies | Some locations add $300+ for public buyers — check local policy | Location-specific |
Manheim fees vary by location and account type. This uses the published public-auction sliding scale — confirm with your facility.
The awkward questions
Why doesn't this match my Manheim invoice?
Dealer accounts use volume-tiered fees that aren't published uniformly. Public auctions add location-specific premiums ($300 at some yards). Storage, title, and PSI fees aren't included — check your invoice.
Can the public buy at Manheim?
Most Manheim lanes are dealer-only, but select locations run public auctions for repos, government surplus, and similar inventory. Policies and fees differ from standard dealer lanes.
Is there an online bidding fee?
Dealer digital sales may include internet bid or history report fees. Public auction schedules in this calculator don't add a separate virtual bid fee — your location may differ.
