IAAI fee calculator

IAA stacks a tiered buyer fee on every win — plus internet bid fees when you bid online. Enter your bid before you wire the money.

The numbers behind it

IAAI's fees, and the date we last looked

Fees move. When they do, this table changes and the change gets logged — that's the whole maintenance promise, and it's why the number above is worth more than a two-year-old blog post.

The awkward questions

Why doesn't this match my IAA invoice exactly?

Facility-specific fees, high-volume buyer discounts, Rec Rides or heavy-vehicle schedules, and title or storage charges vary. Logged-in buyers can use IAA's cost calculator on each vehicle — this tool uses the published standard-volume table.

Is there a gate fee at IAA?

Unlike Copart, IAA doesn't use a universal gate fee in the same way — yard and service fees vary by facility. This calculator models buyer fee plus internet bid fee only.

Public vs licensed buyer?

Non-licensed public buyers may face additional restrictions and fees by state. This calculator uses the standard licensed buyer fee table.

If you're heading off

We'll tell you when IAAI changes its fees.

Platforms change their cut quietly and you find out from a smaller payout. Pick the ones you sell on and you'll get one short email when a rate actually moves — what changed, and what it costs you per sale. Nothing else. No newsletter.

Roughly six emails a year, because that's roughly how often these fees move. Unsubscribe link in every one.
